Our Process
- Nurseries & Seedlings: Healthy seedlings from community nurseries planted at farm level (see: nursery).
- Growing & Care:Site selection: Choosing the right altitude, soil, and climate. Seedling production: Nurturing those coffee plants from the start.Planting: Getting them in the ground at the right spacing. Pruning: Keeping plants healthy and productive. Fertilization: Feeding them with nutrients. Pest and disease management: Keeping bugs and diseases at bay. Weeding: Keeping the competition down. Harvesting: Picking those ripe cherries.Post-harvest handling: Processing and drying
- Harvesting: Selective hand‑picking of ripe cherries to ensure cup quality.
- Processing: Washing stations and Kibooko/FAQ processing where cherries are pulped, fermented (where applicable), and sun-dried.
- Drying & Sorting: Mechanical and solar drying to target optimum moisture; sorting and grading to meet export standards.
- Milling & Packing: Hulling, polishing, QC cupping and packing for shipment with full traceability documentation.
